Los Angeles
Established in 2016, ASIAN AF (Asian As F***) is the premier Asian American comedy variety show in the nation. Preceding Asian AF was SCARLETT JOHANSSON PRESENTS, the first Asian American improv show at the UCB Theatre (alongside the satirical “Scarlett&Emma&Tilda&Matt” viral t-shirts) as a response to the whitewashing of Asian American characters in Hollywood. After the incredible success of ScarJo Presents, Asian AF was created as a way to showcase even more comedic Asian American talent in the Los Angeles comedy scene. Asian AF spotlights the best Asian American actors, stand-up comedians, improvisers, sketch performers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, & more. The show has been featured on several news sites such as NBC News, ABC News, LA Times, NY Times, Vulture, and many more. Asian AF garnered interest from SoCal Public Radio, which covered the debut show back in November 2016 - READ HERE.
There have been 6 AF spin-off shows: Filipino AF, South Asian AF, Gaysian AF, Voltron And Friends, and our newest PI shows: Polynesian AF & AAPI AF.
In November 2019, Asian AF had its final show at the UCB Sunset Theatre after three incredible years. After several years of online shows, Asian AF finally returned to the live stage in 2023.
